As a knowledge-centric organization, DILG IX strives to incorporate systems of knowledge generation, sharing, and utilization throughout all of its organizational structures and operations to efficiently and effectively perform its mandated functions.

The LGRRC IX is designed to promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing across multiple, accessible platforms, to support the department in its role as the primary catalyst for excellence in local governance, to harness its role as a knowledge broker and facilitator of capacity development and to facilitate the integration of knowledge management in processes and systems towards building the knowledge centric organization. It applies as key strategies knowledge management, multi-stakeholdership, and convergence.

LGRRC IX, as it is known, is a learning center that acts as a hub for information on local governance. It is also an information center that directly offers LGUs access to the library database while offering data and resources on local governance. It also considers how all-important participants can access both traditional and modern channels.

As a subsidiary operating entity of LGRRC IX, LGPRC Zamboanga del Sur focuses on offering clients sustainable knowledge products that are timely and relevant to the needs of its clients. It offers five (5) operating facilities or services: (1) Knowledge Information and Multi-Media Management; (2) Performance Assessment; (3) Capacity Development; (4) Public Education and Citizen Building; and (5) Legal knowledge and information facility. Inherent in each facility is its capacity to forge networks and linkages.

Hence, to formalize its initiatives as a knowledge – centric organization in the province, the LGPRC Zamboanga del Sur crafted this business plan to provide timely and relevant solutions to enhance the life of the community it serves.
